SMART CITY Universitas Indonesia (SCUI) is a research center based at the University of Indonesia that provides a platform for research collaboration and publication in the field of urban development and smart cities. It has been established to facilitate collaborative research projects and provide an open platform for the exchange of ideas and research. SCUI often hold a variety of activities, including research and development, seminars, workshops, conferences, and journal publication.
The Smart City Journal publication is organized biannually through a “call for paper”. This call for paper is a formal solicitation for authors (researchers, academicians, professional, practitioners and students) to submit original research papers to the journal for publication. The call for paper helps to ensure that the journal contains only the most high-quality research papers that are relevant to the main topics: energy and environment, infrastructure, ICT and mobility, and quality of life. As a high-quality open access peer reviewed research journal, it serves as a comprehensive platform for researchers and practitioners alike to access latest issues, findings, and best practices in the fields of urban development and smart cities.
SCUI would like to invite prospective authors to submit original research papers and/or articles discussing the main topic relevant to the exploration on how cities advance urban studies by connecting socio-environmental transition for sustainable cities. By bringing together scholars from various disciplines, we hope to encourage a deeper understanding of urban environments. Topics can also be developed by looking at SDGs 11. The topics of discussion include but not limited to:
• Green infrastructure and urban resiliences
• Public transportation, connectivity, mobility, and resilient infrastructure
• Affordable housing and social inclusion
• Biodiversity conservation in urban areas
• Historic preservation and adaptive reuse
• Urban health and well-being
