SMART CITY CCR had an honor to be invited to participate at the seminar and workshop titled "Smart City for All: The Foundation for Sustainable Business - Sweden’s Answers to Meeting the Urban Challenge. Held on Tuesday morning on October 1, 2019, at Raffles Hotel Jakarta, the event was organized by The Embassy of Sweden in Jakarta, together with Business Sweden and Most Valued Business (MVB). This seminar and workshop aims "to expand and enable further exchanges between Indonesia and Sweden in tackling challenges in building smart cities, identifying the best approach to support Indonesia's smart city development, and understanding what the latest solutions can do to improve the quality of life in cities". Being the panelist representing SMART CITY was the CCR's Partnership Manager Dr. Ahmad Gamal, who, together with fellow panelists, discussed a triple-helix approach in supporting Indonesian smart city development. He also delivered a presentation on the development of smart city and smart governance and disseminated SMART CITY CCR's current research which contributes to tackling urban issues in Indonesia.
Also giving remarks on Smart City in Sweden was the Ambassador of Sweden in Indonesia, Marina Berg, followed by Krister Lindstedt, an architect and partner at White Architects, a Scandinavia’s leading architectural practice. There were more than 130 participants invited to the event; all of which came from various fields of works, from higher education institutions, governmental offices, to private sectors accross Sweden and Indonesia.
