The relocation of the Indonesian capital to a yet-to-build city in Kalimantan has sparked many discussions among the public. Some people applauded the courage move as it will level the concentrated infrastructure out of Java and shall generate job opportunities. On the other hand, some say that it shall remove Kalimantan's lush forests and faunas. Will the smart and sustainable approach that has been hailed by the Indonesian government work in the new capital? What is even considered a smart city?
