SMART CITY Finance Manager, Ir. Chairul Hudaya, ST, M.Eng., Ph.D, IPM, was appointed by the Directorate General of Research and Development (Ditjen Risbang) as one of the Indonesian delegations at the Project Appraisal Group (PAG) Workshop during the ASEAN Committee on Science, Technology and Innovation (COSTI). The 76th COSTI was hosted by The Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia and held on June 24-28, 2019, in Nusa Dua, Bali. On the occasion, Dr. Hudaya led the discussion on research proposal guidelines for the ASEAN Science Technology Innovation Fund (ASTIF), a research fund established with initial contribution of US$1,000,000.00 from each ASEAN member nations.
Dr. Hudaya is an assistant professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering and the Head of Energy System Engineering for master's degree program at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia. He is also prolific researcher with a respectable list of publications, having written more than thirty peer-reviewed papers, five Korean patents, and 1 US patent. His research interests include advanced materials for energy storage application and electronic materials including, lithium-ion batteries, hybrid supercapacitor, superconductors, transparent heating materials, renewable energy, electrical power system, and energy economic and management.
