The new capital city in Kalimantan will integrate the Smart City concept, as stated by National Development Planning Agency Minister, Prof. Bambang Brodjonegoro. In response to the statement, SMART CITY Partnership Manager Ahmad Gamal revealed to Media Indonesia that a triple-helix approach combining the power of government, academia and industry was needed to implement the concept of a smart city into the new capital city. Dr. Gamal further explaine that there are four assessment criteria to determine the ideal location for the capital: environmental standards, infrastructure standards, economic standards, and social humanities standards.
